The Mates’ Pledge
Mates don't let their mates get drunk.
Mates don't let their mates get into a fight,
Or end up in hospital or a police cell.
Mates know when to call Last Drinks.
That's the message from the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
It's time for all of to take the pledge. By looking after our mates, we can all help to stem to the tide of alcohol-fuelled violence across our community.

Police Officers, Doctors, Nurses and Ambulance Officers are sick of dealing with the effects of alcohol-related violence.
Every weekend, around NSW front-line workers are being abused, intimidated, threatened, assaulted and injured by violent drunks in their course of their duty.
The hotel industry's mantra of personal responsibility is not working. Experience has shown, however, that stronger restrictions on late night trading at pubs and clubs does make a difference.
The Last Drinks campaign aims to tackle the problem of alcohol-related violence by convincing NSW political leaders to bring in measures such as earlier closing times, lock-outs and restrictions on the sale of high-alcohol content drinks late at night.
The campaign is supported by the Police Association of NSW, the Australian Medical Association (NSW), the NSW Nurses Association and the Health Services Union.
