Hi there, I just heard that cops aren't going to be covered by the new national Occupational Health and Safety laws - it's crazy isn't it? Gaps in the laws mean police attending situations where their safety is at serious risk are not covered by OHandS laws. These are the people that put their lives on the line to protect us, yet the government seems intent on not providing them with protection in return. I just sent my Federal MP an email telling them it's not on. You don't even have to know who your MP is, just go to http://www.keepourcops.org.au, follow the links and they'll do it all for you. I believe our cops and their families deserve the basic rights every other worker is entitled to - if you agree, go to http://www.keepourcops.org.au and take action too. Thanks!
